A long, long time ago i was a little boy at about 12 years. I got a C64 at christmas, that changes my life....
I got a few games with the package so that i had quite a bit to discover. It was a time there also great title like Turican came on the market. Of cause i started programming in that time. It started with Assembler and Basic. I started programming a game, what else?
This continued on the PC only the programming languages changed. At the beginning it was QBasic and Turbo Pascal, Nearly nobody heard of webpages in that time, cause there nearls wasn't any internet....
Yes, i know. It is nearly unbelievable....
The first internet access i had on an lan party. It was in the Werner-Heisenberg-Gymnasium (Heide) and it was called GameCon . There you could play with others in lan for one to two weeks. Most people started there to chat, create an email, are a very small and simple webpage.
The interest of the internet started there, but it took some time before i started to make some smaller and bigger pages. I was studying at the time a programmed Planetech. I programmed it because the other browsergames in that time are just to simple. Planetech now exists for over ten years. The first Version was written in Java, but cause of bad performance it never got published. The first live version was in PHP. Now the game is written in Ruby on Rails. I am a big fan of Ruby cause it makes most things quite easy.
Cause of my interest of game and because i have a lot of other ideas i started Onlinegames Info. It is meant as a common ground for games. It gives all games common logins, messages, medals, support tickets, improvement suggestions, boards, blogs, friendlists, ...
Additionally alliances and players should get the possibility to get in contact with each other, find new and/or old friends. For that you can enter your characters and alliances. Of cause everything is free.
So to say it short: I love games, and i love programming.
