Cause i started quite late with the blog project 52Games, i can just start to write the second part. The theme is Cold, the first game that came into my mind was Silent Hunter. The game is a submarine simulation that plays in the cold atlantic. There are currently 5 games to that series. I mostly played Silent Hunter III so i will write about it. Each mission you start on your submarine in the harbour, ready to depart. So you start your engine and go on patrol. The game runs in realtime, but you have the oportunity to advance the time. After some time you will find an enemy ship, so you dive and head for the target, calculate the torpedo path and Fire! Now you have to wait. Does the torpedo hit? The old technology maybe faulty or the course of the torpedo is wrong. You can not make rapid fire, cause they are limited. On the sea you will not only find unarmed freighters, but also some warships. They will try to hunt you down if they see you, and this can be deadly. Sometimes you may find some convois. It gives you a lot of targets but they are protected by some ships. Cause the torpedo needs some time to reach his target, you can fire on multiple targets before you get spotted. Besides the torpedos you also get some guns on the deck. You can defend yourself from fighters and ships with it. It is a nice game and you can play it for quite some time. ...
